Nigerian basketball fans throughout the Diaspora are in ecstasy and pinching themselves in disbelief with the announcement that Chukwudi Obika Okafor has opted in to play for the D' Tigers.
Okafor went to the famous basketball powerhouse Duke for University has a Nigerian father while his mother is African American currently plays for the player New Orleans Pelicans as a Center
Okafor is a seasoned player with tons of experience having also played for the Philadelphia 76'ers and the Brooklyn Nets and is also a cousin to another NBA star Emeka Okafor.
Standing at 2.0m he will add to D'Tigers bite in the paint when he pairs up with the China-based Ike Diogu. He joins more than half a dozen Nigerian Americans already on the African Champion.
