Marseille are on the brink of a major shake-up.
Roberto De Zerbi has handed in his resignation as head coach following OM’s disastrous Champions League exit, according to Foot Mercato.
Les Phocéens were thrashed 3–0 by Club Brugge on Wednesday and dumped out of Europe after results elsewhere went against them.
The fallout was immediate. Earlier today, RMC Sport revealed De Zerbi did not lead training at Clairefontaine ahead of Saturday’s Ligue 1 trip to Paris FC — a clear warning sign.
Discussions are now ongoing between all parties over whether his resignation will be accepted.
Appointed in 2024, De Zerbi was under contract until 2027, but his Marseille chapter may already be over.
