Manchester United Are Open To Offers For Their High-earning Veteran Star Casemiro In The Summer Transfer Window, According To Reports

The 33-year-old Brazilian midfielder pockets more money per week,£350,000, than any other player in United’s squad under Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils are thought to have a tiny transfer budget for the current summer window and the sale of Casemiro could help them free up funds.

Casemiro is currently under contract with United until the summer of 2026, with the option to extend his deal for another year.

But The Telegraph report that Casemiro could be heading for an exit if another club makes a bid for him before the start of the 2025-26 season.

Last year, football pundit Jamie Carragher said that Casemiro was no longer good enough for United and that he should consider a move to the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.

Carragher said: ‘He should be thinking, “I need to go to the MLS or Saudi” – I’m deadly serious. ‘He’s aging, the people around him they need to tell him this has to stop. ‘He’s been an absolute great. I am nowhere near on a level of what that man has achieved. Champions Leagues, playing for Brazil, playing for Real Madrid. ‘But I always remember something when I retired myself, there was a saying I always remember as a footballer, “leave the football before the football leaves you”.’
