Barcelona Are Reportedly Planning A Second Swap Deal With Juventus This Summer

Following the financial effects of coronavirus on clubs, which will see many club sides find it difficult to buy players this summer. It has however, resulted to other means of transfers as this will be in better off than paying hefty fees to get players.

The Barcelona and Juventus swap deal for Arthur and Pjanic is expected to make swap deals more common this summer.

While no other clubs are really showing signs of this, a report from Mundo Deportivo suggests another midfielder swap could take place between Barcelona and Juventus.

This time around Ivan Raktic and Rodrigo Bentancur would switch places, but Barcelona would also need to raise €30million to achieve that.

It would be fascinating if that happens, mainly because Barcelona have been criticized for getting rid of a younger player in exchange for a veteran.

Arthur and Bentancur are both 23 years old, so in addition to an experienced midfield presence, both teams receive a long-term starter for the future.

The Uruguayan has been an integral part of Juve's midfielder so that doesn't make sense from their perspective, especially as they would trade a dynamic and talented player for Rakitic.

From Barcelona's perspective, that would give them hope for a long-term partnership between Bentancur and Frenkie de Jong which would be exciting for years to come.

There is no indication that it has passed the proposal phase at this point, but it would be amazing if it actually happened.
