News according to several reports in Italy as quoted by Sports Central has revealed that former Juventus player Andrea Pirlo is said to be announced as Juventus U23 coach in the coming days after beating other candidates for the position.
The former Bianconeri midfielder will replace Fabio Pecchia at the helm of Juve U23, his first role in club management.
Pirlo completed his training for his UEFA professional license courses at Coverciano last summer and has been preparing for the role of Juve U23 for some time.
As cited by Sports Central, Goal Italia and several others report that the official announcement is imminent and could happen in the coming days as Pirlo has struck a deal with the club.
Juve president Andrea Agnelli is reportedly keen to bring Pirlo back to Turin to emulate coaches like Zinedine Zidane and Pep Guardiola, who rose to prominence after working in the youth sector at Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
