News as reported by Sports Central has it that Real Madrid seemed keen to sell Dani Ceballos to Arsenal, but fans of the midfielder will appreciate the result more.
Real Madrid have among them the most talented young players in world football and at 23 years old Dani Ceballos is on the verge of becoming a something more.
The former Real Betis player was on loan at Arsenal between 2019 and 2020 but at the end of the season he has established himself as one of the team's key players. Ceballos could be ready to take another step forward next season, and it looks like he will do that at the North London club.
According to a report by Gary Jacob of the Times, Ceballos is set to extend his loan spell at Arsenal. This report comes after it was revealed that Real Madrid wanted to make money and sell the player on a permanent basis.
But Arsenal don't have to part ways with money in this tough economic situation and will try to keep the star midfielder for at least a year. From there, they can make the decision to buy Ceballos permanently, or Real Madrid could take him back. By then, Real will have a better idea of the midfielder's willingness and ability to contribute to the Santiago Bernabeu, although Real Sociedad man Martin Odegaard is already replacing Luka Modric.
According to Sports Central, Ceballos completed almost 88% of his passes with two Premier League assists, averaging more than one key pass per game and one dribble per game with 1.5 fouls per game garnered.
In a deeper midfielder role, he turned out to be even better and, in addition to his creative skills as a passer and dribbler, provided excellent defense and an endless run. During the regular season, the former Real Betis star flourished as Arsenal's best midfielder.
It’s hoped the 23-year-old will have another outstanding season at the Emirates Stadium if he signs another loan deal with the Premier League.
Meanwhile, fellow Premier League giants Manchester City are believed to be in the hunt to replace their outgoing legend David Silva with Ceballos.
