As expected, the likes of former Real Madrid defender Pepe and West Ham loanee Felipe Anderson have made the trip to Spain for the game that will be held at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
In total, Porto boss Sergio Conceicao has named a 25-man strong party and that includes a name that will be familiar to Chelsea supporters.
Malang Sarr is currently on loan with the Portuguese giants from the Blues and could feature against his parent club on Wednesday night as there is no rule that prevents him from doing so.
Of course, had this been a Premier League game Sarr would have been ineligible just like the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Michy Batshuayi, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Sarr was one of seven first-team signings at Stamford Bridge last summer, but he along with fellow defender Thiago Silva were the only two that arrived on free transfers.
With 21 appearances to his name across all competitions so far this season, the decision to join Porto on loan has certainly been vindicated especially as Sarr is getting experience in Europe's elite club competition.
In fact, the loan spell is going exactly as the 22-year-old planned, describing it as the 'perfect solution' as he knew he would not become a regular at Chelsea immediately.
Sarr told L'Equipe, as per Sport Witness as cited by Sports Central: "I was training with Chelsea before I got loaned. "The loan was part of the plan. "I had to be honest with myself, my season ended in March and I wasn’t going to be successful right away with Chelsea. "It was the perfect solution because I wanted to do a season at a top club like Porto, to be good and then later take a place at Chelsea.
