According to Eurosport, Martin Odegaard isn’t totally convinced that the Arsenal squad are fully invested in Mikel Arteta’s vision.
It’s claimed that Odegaard loves Arteta’s approach, but has doubts over the rest of the squad and their commitment to his cause.
That’s quite the claim, and a real concern for Arsenal as Odegaard now wants to keep his options open.
Odegaard seemingly doesn’t want to be one of the only players buying into Arteta’s methods and vision, and it may all prevent him from staying put.
Arsenal understandably want to keep Odegaard beyond the end of the season, when his loan deal from Real Madrid is set to expire.
Odegaard is now looking elsewhere, and it’s understood that he would like to live in the same City as friend and international teammate Erling Haaland.
Haaland could head to Manchester City this summer, but it’s hard to see City or United going for Odegaard; maybe Liverpool, which would mean Odegaard can still live in Manchester if he wanted.
Real Madrid are keen on Haaland too, but they seemingly don’t have plans for Odegaard, meaning that avenue could be closed off.
Chelsea signing Haaland and Odegaard wanting to stay in London may be Arsenal’s best hope here, but the alleged squad problems could be a real concern for the Gunners now..
