Officials Considering China As Venue For Tyson Fury Heavyweight Super Fights

A tour for a possible venue for a fierce fight between Tyson Fury against Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua are being explored. Top rank boss Bob Arum is said to have been in China for some time now working for venue for the fight while he awaits go ahead order from Macao Boxing General Association, who are still yet to decide following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

However, despite the virus being first known in Wuhan, China. Arum is said to be ready to put safety measures in place as he is confident the Macao would be the best possible venue to host the fight between Fury, Wilder or Joshua.

Speaking in World Boxing News Arum said: “Everyone has agreed that due to the vast experience of Top Rank in Macao, where we did some major, major events a couple of years ago, that we would also explore the Tyson Fury situation in Macao. “They are looking for big events now that they have opened up in Macau. They hope to create great interest to get fans from all over the world to attend.

The 31-year old Fury’s management are said to be exploring other options at the Middle Eastern part of China with precautionary measures. Arum added: “In the Middle East, what if these (Tyson Fury) offers are not what we hoped they’d be? “Also, what happens if there’s no interest in Macau? – Or little interest or not so great interest?”

meanwhile, Arum is said to have previously worked in Macao when he took boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao to the region in 2013 and 2014. Where Pacquiao defeated Chris Algieri and Brandon Rios as the events was named a great success.
