Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella has been ruled out of the Super Eagles must-win 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles announced Tella is injured and he will be replaced by Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha.
Tella is nursing a muscular injury even though he was on the bench for a UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich Tuesday..
Tella made his Super Eagles in November 2023 in a World Cup qualifying tie against Zimbabwe in Rwanda, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Nigeria will play away to Group C leaders Rwanda on March 21 before a home game against Zimbabwe four days later.
