Two Top European Clubs After Chelsea Midfielder Jorginho

Reports from London revealed that Italian and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been on many big clubs radar and the teams are ready to make a move once the transfer season opens. The Italian has been a great addition to the Chelsea midfielder since he joined from Napoli last two seasons. Jorginho has been a key figure and a good passer of the ball that created a lot of goals for the Blues.

The notable club after Jorginho is Juventus where former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has taken charge and is willing to bring the midfielder to Italy. Sarri and Jorginho have had a great relationship right from their Napoli days and the manager is ready to make a summer move for him.

However, Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has dismissed the claim that his client would leave Stamford Bridge this summer, stating that the 28-year old will be extending his contract with the Blues.

Santos said to 90min: “The boy is doing very well at Chelsea. “He still has three years on his contract and his top priority remains Chelsea, with whom we are talking about a possible renewal.

Meanwhile, Central Sports recalled that Santos has previously told CalcioMercato: “There is the possibility of adding a fourth [year] and opening negotiations to renew the contract with Chelsea.

Santos also said during an interview before the outbreak of coronavirus in February that any player playing well like his client would be having interest from many clubs but has reiterated his stance that Jorginho will still remain with the West Londoners.

He explains, “At the moment I haven't talked to anyone at Juventus. “I know both Fabio Paratici and [Federico] Cherubini very well and have an excellent relationship with them. But, as of today, they haven't asked me for [Jorginho]. “We all know how highly Sarri thinks of him, but I can't say if it is part of the Juventus technical project because, I don't know what their plans are for next season. “I have received official offers from two top clubs. “I cannot say who, out of respect for Chelsea, because we are not allowed to negotiate at the moment. And, as I said before, there is a will to stay [at Chelsea]. But it is normal for a player of his calibre to be of interest to other clubs. “The only thing I can say is that they are two of the top eight clubs in Europe. Because we are not talking about just any player, only the most important clubs in Europe can afford [Jorginho].

Jorginho and his fellow Chelsea teammates has accepted 10% cut from their salaries.
