Nick Pope will miss out on the England squad and Newcastle's last game of the season as he requires surgery.
The goalkeeper has been key to the Toon securing Champions League football for next term.
However, he will not play in the club's last game of the season at Chelsea. And he will also not feature in Euro 2024 qualifiers versus Malta and North Macedonia on June 16 and 19.
Therefore, Jordan Pickford is likely to continue in goal, with Sam Johnstone and Aaron Ramsdale making up the selected stoppers.
Pope's campaign comes to an early close so he can undergo a hand operation and be back fit for pre-season in the summer.
The 31-year-old has been capped ten times by England. His last international appearance came in the Nations League versus Germany in July last year.
Pope also missed the previous international break due to thigh issues.
Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling has been left out of the Three Lions side. But Brighton captain Lewis Dunk has been included for the first time in five years.
Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze has also received his first call-up..
