Barcelona Star Set To Leave The Club Due To Rift With Messi

Antoine Griezmann is reportedly planning to leave Catalan club Barcelona as he is unhappy with team captain Lionel Messi.

The 29-year-old, who finds life at the club difficult, joined Spanish giants from rivals Atletico Madrid in July 2019 for an incredible transfer fee of €120m.

He had fallen out of favor under former team managers Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien, and despite new boss Ronald Koeman's promise to help him improve, he continues to struggle.

Griezmann was on the score sheet for France during the just-ended international break and appeared have taken a swipe on Koeman when he said Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps knew where to play him.

Spanish digital newspaper OK Diario, as quoted in Sports Central, now claims that Griezmann is still finding it difficult to blend with Messi so far, believing the Argentine has not treated him well.

The report goes on to say that French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain could offer the striker an escape route and that Griezmann could enjoy returning home as he is not happy in Spain.

Griezmann has contributed 19 goals in 51 games for the Blaugrana since arriving at Barcelona.

Only recently, Messi was fingered in another rancour within the Barcelona squad with reports claiming teenage sensation Ansu Fati may be considering an exit at the club.

Everything Barca citing Diario GOL claim is that the Argentine is doing all he can to thwart the club's 17-year-old for breaking up with his agent Rodrigo Messi, the club legend's brother.

Ansu Fati was managed by Messi's brother Rodrigo, but the player recently ended his contract to team up with famous football agent Jorge Mendes.
