Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for Covid-19, the Portuguese Football Association announced on Tuesday, adding that he is doing well and asymptomatic.
This development means the star forward will miss Portuguese UEFA nation's game on Wednesday against Sweden.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, who currently plays for Italian club Juventus, "is doing well, without symptoms and in isolation," the statement said.
The rest of the Portuguese squad were also tested on Tuesday. All the results were negative and will be available for Wednesday's encounter in Lisbon.
Ronaldo was in action in a game on Monday when Portugal played France in a 0-0 stalemate..
