Zambia Soars, Nigeria Climbs One Spot But Cameroon Stumbles In Latest FiFA Women’s National Team Ranking

The world Football governing body, FIFA has published it’s latest women’s national team ranking for the month of March.

The latest rankings leave the USA at the top of the Women’s game at the World stage while Nigeria leads in Africa.

So there have been no changes there other than the fact that the African Champion has climbed one spot to 38th in the world despite not playing during the last international break.

The news is not as good for the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon (above) who have dropped from 49th in the last ranking to 51 in this month after their elimination by Zambia in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers.

The Zambians on their part are the biggest climbers in the month. The girls of coach Bruce Mwape have improved by six places.

They are now ranked 100th in the world and 10th on the continent.

Barbra Banda and her mates created history this month. The Copper Queens became the first generation of Zambia girls to earn qualification of their nation for the Olympics games.
