Chelsea Star Armando Broja Is A Target For West Ham

West Ham are preparing a move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja as David Moyes looks to continue his summer recruitment drive.

Moyes is targeting at least six more signings after West Ham yesterday sealed a £28million deal to bring in defender Nayef Aguerd from Rennes on a five-year contract.

West Ham are determined to sign a striker this summer and Moyes has identified Broja as his top attacking target.

Chelsea could demand around £30m for the 20-year-old Albania international, who enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Southampton last season.

Broja may yet force his way into Thomas Tuchel’s first-team plans at Chelsea but West Ham are optimistic they can secure a deal this summer.

The Hammers do have other targets but Moyes is pushing to sign Broja, who scored nine goals in all competitions for Southampton last season.

Discussions are ongoing, meanwhile, with goalkeeper Alphonse Areola as Moyes looks to make his loan move from Paris Saint-Germain permanent.

West Ham have an option to buy included in the deal that saw the 29-year-old spend last season at the London Stadium. But they still have to agree personal terms, with the former Real Madrid man reported to have been earning £120,000-per-week at PSG. West Ham are keen to conclude a deal amid rival interest from Newcastle.
